Fancy getting off the tarmac? The 1.5-hour quad biking adventure near Lyon is the perfect way to discover off-road riding without spending the whole day on it. Get to grips with the controls, learn the basics, then hit the trails and make the most of every minute behind the handlebars.
The activity takes place just 15 minutes by car south-west of Lyon city centre. You’ll start on private land before heading out along dirt tracks and towards scenic viewpoints across the surrounding countryside.
Ride solo or share a quad with a passenger, all under the supervision of a professional instructor. Drivers must be at least 18 and hold a valid driving licence, while passengers are welcome from the age of 10. It’s a great activity for families, friends or couples.
Please note: a €4,000 security deposit cheque is required on the day and will only be used in the event of equipment damage. The quad and protective equipment are provided.

What does the quad biking experience involve?
After a welcome and safety briefing, you’ll get to grips with the quad on private land, followed by a short debrief before setting off. The experience lasts 1.5 hours in total, including the ride along dirt trails and scenic viewpoints. A professional instructor will accompany you throughout.

It’s the perfect introduction to quad biking: long enough to get to grips with the vehicle and enjoy the scenery, yet short enough for first-timers. If you’re after more adventure, longer rides and guided tours are also available.
Do you need a driving licence to ride a quad?
Yes. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence. Passengers can take part from the age of 10 and do not need a licence.
How much does a 1.5-hour quad biking experience cost?
Prices start at €115 per driver and €50 per passenger, or €165 for a quad shared by two. The quad, protective equipment and professional supervision are all included.
What should you bring?
Please bring your driving licence, a €4,000 security deposit cheque (used only in the event of equipment damage), long-sleeved clothing suitable for the weather, and closed-toe shoes.
What happens if the weather is bad?
For your safety, the ride may be cancelled depending on the weather conditions. In this case, your gift voucher will automatically be rescheduled at no extra cost.
How do I book a quad biking experience?
Bookings cannot be made online. Contact Tanguy on 04 78 79 28 13 or by email at lyon@takamaka.fr to arrange your date. The activity is available for solo participants, with no minimum group size.
Can you give a quad biking experience as a gift?
Yes! The gift voucher is valid for one year and is sent instantly by email (or by post for an additional €2). If the ride cannot go ahead for reasons beyond the recipient’s control, the voucher will be renewed at no extra cost.
