Three Scavenger Hunts to Discover Lyon from a Different Perspective

Old Lyon Walking Rally: A Journey Through Lyon’s History

Discover Old Lyon on a fun and cultural walking rally. Equipped with a roadbook, your teams explore the city’s historic districts and solve puzzles about Lyon’s heritage before taking the funicular up to Fourvière to enjoy the views. An ideal team-building activity in Lyon, combining discovery, team cohesion, and a friendly atmosphere in the heart of the city.

Tête d’Or Park Rally: An Outdoor Adventure

Explore Parc de la Tête d’Or on a walking rally packed with puzzles, challenges, and surprises. Working as a team, participants observe, think, and take on challenges to score points, strengthen team cohesion, and share a fun and memorable experience in the heart of France’s largest urban park.

Confluence Eco-Rally: Discover France’s First Eco-Responsible District

Explore Lyon’s Confluence district, where contemporary architecture, industrial heritage, and reimagined urban spaces come together. Through a rally featuring questions and puzzles, your teams discover the district’s iconic landmarks, including the Orange Cube, La Sucrière, and the Nautical Square, while strengthening their team spirit and observation skills.

  • 10 to 1,000 participants
Good to know

Depending on your preferences, your rally can be enhanced with additional gourmet or social experiences, such as regional product tastings, an introduction to boules lyonnaises (Lyon’s traditional pétanque-style game), or other activities to extend the experience.

How the activity works

1

📍 Welcome desk

Upon arrival, participants are welcomed by their facilitator, who introduces them to the format of the activity, organizes them into teams, and gives them a general briefing to explain how the activity will run.
2

🔎 Observation, self-guided discovery and answering questions

Divided into teams and equipped with their roadbooks, participants explore the neighbourhood at their own pace. Observation tasks, puzzles, and questions guide them along the route, helping them discover Lyon’s iconic landmarks while putting their logic, curiosity, and team spirit to the test.
3

🏆 Closing ceremony and prize-giving

Once the course is completed, the teams come together for a friendly closing moment. The answers are reviewed, the results are announced, and a prize-giving ceremony rewards the best-performing teams.

FAQ

What level is required to take part ?

No particular skill level or specific level of fitness is required to take part. These cultural walking rallies are accessible to everyone and focus more on observation, curiosity, and team spirit than on sporting performance. Participants discover Lyon at their own pace while working together to answer questions and explore the city’s heritage.

Is the activity supervised by an instructor?

Our team welcomes the participants and provides the briefing before the start of the activity. The rally is then completed independently, allowing participants to enjoy a collaborative and immersive experience. At the end of the course, the teams meet back with the facilitator for a closing session, including the review of answers, the announcement of results, and the prize-giving ceremony.

Do you need to have prior knowledge of Lyon to take part?

No, no previous knowledge is required. The rally is designed to be accessible to everyone: participants simply need to observe their surroundings, look for clues, and use their teamwork skills to answer the questions.

Can the Old Lyon Treasure Hunt be personalized?

Yes, it is absolutely possible to add extra challenges to make your experience more dynamic and tailor it to your preferences. We offer additional activities such as an introduction to boules lyonnaises (Lyon’s traditional pétanque-style game), a regional product tasting, or a quiz to extend the shared experience and strengthen team spirit.

Is the rally available all year round ?

Yes. The activity can be organised throughout the year.

Where is the meeting point for the activity?

Old Lyon Rally: Place Saint-Jean
Tête d’Or Rally: Porte de la Voûte
Confluence Rally: Nautical Darse

Adaptable if necessary.

Can this activity be carried out in English?

Yes, all three rallies can be conducted entirely in English.

What clothing is recommended?

No special clothing is required for the scavenger hunts. Simply wear comfortable clothing and suitable walking shoes, as the routes take you on foot through Lyon’s different neighbourhoods.
