Description

Looking for a fun canyon where you spend more time in the water than beside it? Canyoning at Ternèze near Aix-les-Bains ticks all the boxes. Short, steep-sided and very aquatic, this canyon combines abseils, slides, swimming sections and jumps, for 2 hours of play in the heart of nature.

The canyon is located in Curienne, south of Lac du Bourget, around thirty minutes from Aix-les-Bains and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Lyon. You make your own way to the meeting point. A short 10-minute walk-in then takes you to the start.

Over 300 m long with a 60 m drop, the Ternèze packs in the essentials of canyoning. Jumps can reach 7 m, but they can all be avoided: everyone chooses their own level of daring, from the most cautious to the most fearless.

The route is open to anyone aged 8 and over, beginners and those with some experience alike. You just need to be able to swim and be reasonably fit. Harness, helmet and neoprene wetsuit are provided, and a qualified instructor guides the group throughout.

Available in summer, from €55, the Ternèze is an ideal outing for families or friends, and a refreshing gift idea for adventurers young and old.
