Why choose between the best sections when you can do it all? The full rafting descent in Savoie takes you on the complete run: 23 km on the Isère, from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Centron. It’s our longest route, to experience the river from start to finish.
The activity takes place in Savoie, about 2 hours from Lyon. You make your own way to the base, then shuttles take you to the start and bring you back once the descent is over.
For two hours, rapids and calm stretches follow one after another. You tackle sections that have become famous among white-water enthusiasts, such as the “Ham Slicer”. All on a river that has hosted the world kayaking championships.
No experience needed to climb aboard: you just need to be 12 or over and able to swim. Full equipment is provided, and your qualified instructor steers the boat, from the first rapid to the last.

In summer. Like all our rafting descents, it depends on the river’s flow and the weather.
How long does the full descent last?
About 4 hours in total, including 2 hours on the water. The rest of the time covers getting equipped, the shuttles and the safety briefing.
What is the minimum age?
The full descent is open to anyone aged 12 and over, with no prior experience required.
Do you need to be able to swim to do the full descent?
Yes, being able to swim is compulsory. A life jacket and helmet are provided to each participant.

To experience the river in its entirety: 23 km and 2 hours on the water, compared with 16 km for the sporty descent and 7 km for the discovery route. It’s the choice for crews who want to make the most of it.
How much does the full rafting descent cost?
From €79 per person, adult or child. The price includes equipment and supervision by a qualified instructor.
What do I need to bring?
A swimsuit and a beach towel. All other equipment is provided.
How do I book the full descent?
You can purchase online, but the date cannot be booked on the website. Contact Tanguy on 04 78 79 28 13 or at lyon@takamaka.fr. If conditions prevent the descent from going ahead, your gift voucher is automatically carried over, free of charge.
Can I give the full rafting descent as a gift?
Yes, with a gift voucher valid for 1 year, sent immediately by email (or by post for €2). If the activity cannot take place for reasons beyond the recipient’s control, the voucher is renewed free of charge.
