Description

Dreaming of experiencing a canyon from top to bottom? The full canyoning descent at Angon near Annecy takes you down the entire canyon, from the top of the waterfalls all the way to the shores of Lake Annecy. It’s our longest and most complete route at Angon, for an immersive adventure in a wild, little-visited setting.

The meeting point is in Talloires-Angon, above Lake Annecy, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Lyon; you make your own way there. A walk-in of about 35 minutes from the Pont des Fées takes you to the start.

The descent lasts about 3 hours 30 minutes and includes 15 obstacles. Along the way you’ll find 9 abseils from 8 to 60 m, natural slides, jumps from 2 to 5 m (all optional) and the famous passage beneath the Boîte aux Lettres (“Letterbox”) rock. The grand finale: a 60 m abseil down the last waterfall.

This route is aimed at sporty participants aged 14 and over who can swim, are in good physical shape and have no fear of heights. Previous canyoning experience is strongly recommended. Full equipment is provided, and a qualified instructor accompanies you throughout the descent.

Bonus: souvenir photos are included, and the adventure ends with a complimentary drink, feet in the water on the lakeshore. An exceptional gift idea for lovers of water and vertical adventure, from €85.
