Swords, shields and bows are all part of the action, with every weapon made from foam — including the arrow tips. Before the fighting begins, our specialist activity leaders will teach you the basics of weapon handling.
Team battles, flag capture, one-on-one duels, archery combat… the challenges keep coming, and nobody stays out of the action for long. Take a quick breather on the sidelines, then jump straight back into the fray!

After an introduction to weapon handling, your group takes on a series of challenges around the castle, competing in teams or one-on-one duels. The two-hour adventure ends with a ceremony featuring the groom-to-be being put in the stocks and then knighted.

Prices start at €40 per person, including all equipment: weapons, helmets, shields and tunics.
How many participants are needed?
A minimum of 6 participants is required, with no maximum group size. The activity is designed for adults aged 18 and over.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll decide together based on the weather: the battle may go ahead with adjustments, be rescheduled if possible, or be cancelled with a full refund.
How do I book the Medieval Highlander Battle?
Contact Tanguy on 04 78 79 28 13 or email lyon@takamaka.fr. You can then pay online, by bank transfer or by two cheques, each for 50% of the total amount, payable to Takamaka. The first cheque serves as a deposit, and the second is cashed after the battle. Please note that refunds are not available for participants who cancel less than 10 days before the event.
Can you give the Medieval Highlander Battle as a gift?
Yes! You can give a gift voucher valid for one year, sent by email as soon as you purchase it (or by post for an additional €2). The recipient can then book their activity using the voucher’s 6-digit code.
